Priority Registration Coming Up
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 21, 2011) − It's time for University of Kentucky students to plan their courses for the summer and fall 2011 semesters. All currently enrolled UK students planning to take classes in either of these semesters must register March 28-April 19. Registration is online through myUK.
Undergraduates must get their Advisor Hold released before they can register. Students who have declared a major can contact their college dean's office for instructions. Those who have not yet declared a major are advised in Undergraduate Studies, located on the first floor of Miller Hall.
Priority Registration is based on three-day windows, which open and close at specific times based on a student's classification and hours earned. If a student is unable to register during their first assigned priority window, they will be able to register during a secondary window. After logging into myUK, students can click the "Registration" menu at the top of the Student Services tab to view their registration windows and status. When a registration window opens, the semester name, such as "Summer Semester" or "Fall Semester," becomes a hyperlink that the student may click on to begin the registration process.
Students may view the summer and fall 2011 schedule of classes now in myUK. After logging in, click on the "Registration" menu at the top of the Student Services tab, and then click "Course Catalog" on the left-hand menu.
For more information about priority registration, call the Registration Office at (859) 257-7173.
