PTS Spring Semester K, Off-Peak Permit Sales Begin Today

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 5, 2016) Starting today (Dec. 5) at noon EST, University of Kentucky Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) will offer student spring semester permits for sale on the PTS website, www.uky.edu/pts. Students may also purchase permits in person at the PTS office, located in the Press Avenue Garage, at the corner of Press and Virginia Avenues, starting today.

UK students seeking K and off-peak permits for the 2017 spring semester may apply online at www.uky.edu/pts. In addition to K and off-peak permits, PTS will also accept applications for R6, R8 and R16 permits for eligible residents at this time.

Bluegrass Community and Technical College students who park at the Cooper campus may also apply online for C-BCTC and off-peak permits.

The cut-off date for online permit application is Friday, Jan. 6, 2017.

All outstanding parking citations must be paid before an application is accepted. Citations may be paid online at www.uky.edu/pts/online-services_pay-a-citation.

The K lots at Commonwealth Stadium will not be controlled for permits during the semester break, beginning Saturday, Dec. 17. The K lots will return to normal control Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017. For a list of dates when other lots resume control, visit the Student Permits Calendar.

Eligible students who do not have a parking permit or who want to upgrade from a K permit may submit a lottery request online for C and R permits through the Parking Account Manager. Eligibility criteria must be met to purchase the desired permit. Drawings are typically held two to three weeks after the beginning of the semester; notification is sent to lottery winners via email.

Off-peak permits are $74, while all spring semester K permits are $136 and spring semester C-BCTC permits are $148.
