Sing! It’s Karaoke Night!

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 15, 2011) - The phrase “can’t carry a tune in a bucket” doesn’t apply on Karaoke Night! Join the Student Activities Board (SAB) at 8 p.m. tonight Tuesday, Feb. 15 in the Cats Den and sing your favorite songs.

Karaoke Night will provide interactive entertainment that allows students the chance to sing along to their favorite, recorded music minus the main vocals. The words for the song are displayed on the machine so don’t worry about forgetting the lyrics.

“Karaoke Night is exactly what it promises,” said Chelsea Melchor, Director of SAB’s Pop Culture Committee. “It’s not an American Idol audition, it’s a chance for students to have fun, sing and not worry about looking silly. We’re all there to have a great time.”

This event is free.

The Student Activities Board (SAB) brings more than 100 events to the University of Kentucky annually that enhance the college experience by providing students, other members of the campus and the Lexington community with entertaining, educational or enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends.
