The Coolest Comedian Since Sliced Bread is Coming to UK
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 28, 2015) — The University of Kentucky Student Activities Board is proud to announce Jim Gaffigan as the 2015 spring comedian! Gaffigan will be performing at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, in the Singletary Center for the Arts on UK's campus.
“We are really excited to bring Jim Gaffigan to campus as our spring comedian,” Brenton Smith, SAB director of pop culture, said. “He has a diverse body of work that many are familiar with, and we feel that his act is relatable and something that many individuals will enjoy.”
The event will be a continuation of his White Bread Tour that begins on Thursday, Jan. 29, in New York City. Gaffigan will be performing material based on his books, including, "Dad is Fat and Food: A Love Story." According to his official Facebook page, the tour will be mostly new material.
Student tickets are on sale now for $15, and general public tickets go on sale for $25 beginning Friday, Jan. 30, and can be purchased at the Singletary Center ticket office or at scfatickets.com. Additional ticketing fees apply. Students are permitted to purchase two tickets per valid student ID and can bring in one additional ID for a total of four tickets.
