Joel McHale Is SAB Spring Comedian
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 4, 2013) – Are you ready for a “Community” laugh? The Student Activities Board is proud to announce spring comedian Joel McHale, who will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 7, in the Singletary Center for the Arts.
Known for his snarky yet hilarious commentary on reality television, McHale gained notoriety hosting his satirical reality television recap “The Soup.” The show has become the third-highest rated show on the E! network and is currently airing its ninth season. McHale also stars in the television series “Community,” portraying lawyer-turned-college-student Jeff Winger. McHale’s performance has been praised for its pop culture zingers and improvised, witty humor.
“Joel McHale has become the king of pop culture and comedy with ‘The Soup’ and ‘Community,’” said SAB Director of Pop Culture Gigi Goble. “He was a no-brainer when we looked at our options for our spring comedian.”
