Let SAB’s Last Pinterest Party Put a Spring in Your Step

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 17, 2015) — The Student Activities Board’s Campus Life Committee wraps up the crafting for the semester with a Pinterest Party from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 20, in the Rasdall Gallery, located in the Student Center.

Pinterest Parties are designed to give the campus community the chance to create do-it-yourself crafts seen on the social media site, Pinterest. The Campus Life Committee takes the site’s tagline, “Less Pinning. More Doing.” and turns it into a reality for UK students, staff and faculty.

“Students should stop by our last Pinterest Party of the semester because we will have multiple spring crafts available that would be great for decorating their dorm room or apartment or to give as gifts,” Abbey Tillman, director of Campus Life, said. “They can create spring crafts with their friends while enjoying light refreshments.”

This Pinterest Party event will be the third and final Pinterest Party of the semester. The Cultural Arts Committee will provide supplies for attendees to create and decorate magnets, ceramic tiles, candle holders, mason jars and flower pots.

SAB brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff, and the greater Lexington community.
