Spring Carnival Ends Semester With Food and Fun
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 17, 2015) — The Student Activities Board’s Campus Life and Traditions Committees work together to create a new, collaborative event, the Spring 2015 Carnival. The carnival will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Good Barn Field on the University of Kentucky campus.
The Spring 2015 Carnival will provide the entire student body another traditional, enjoyable event where they can celebrate their time at UK. Like Campus Ruckus, the carnival will provide students with plenty of food and fun to de-stress before the trying time known as finals week.
Upon arriving, students will swipe their student IDs, have their hands stamped and be given a ticket for free concessions from a variety of food trucks and food booths. In between good food, attendees can also enjoy carnival rides, games and prizes.
“This event is a game changer for the Student Activities Board in a sense that we are bringing something unique to campus,” Zoe Pittman, SAB director of traditions, said. “It will get students excited about SAB pushing the limits on event planning and what we will offer for semesters to come.”
The Student Activities Board will partner with the Student Government Association to help the Spring 2015 Carnival bring people from different organizations and parts of campus together.
SAB brings more than 100 entertaining educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff, and the greater Lexington community.
