Who Needs a Dating Coach?

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 4, 2011) – Navigating the college dating scene can be awkward and tough. Let hilarious college dating coaches Dave and Ethan show you the ropes at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, in the Student Center's Center Theater. This event is free and is sponsored by the Student Activities Board.

Childhood friends Dave Ahdoot and Ethan Fixell have been on hundreds of double dates. After posting ads on Craigslist and YouTube, inviting pairs of girls to double date them, the responses poured in. The two began documenting their experiences in a series of video blogs and quickly became a YouTube comedy series about double dating.

Dave and Ethan’s dating crash-course instruction features horrible first date reenactments, tacky love songs, interactive exercises and demonstrations that will be lessons to guide you on how to attain the perfect evening and snag that special someone.

Dave and Ethan have been featured on "The Colbert Report," "The Millionaire Matchmaker," Comedy Central.com, AOL’s Lemondrop.com and SingleEdition.com and on The Onion, Time Out New York, Boosh and Revolt magazines.

“Dave and Ethan are hilarious! They engage the audience and audience members can be a part of the show. You will definitely laugh out loud during their show,” said Derek Operle, director of SAB's Pop Culture committee.

The Student Activities Board brings more than 100 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. These programs are designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community.
