Campus Celebrities Cut Out Challenge

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2011) – Dream about having that perfect Facebook profile picture with President and Dr. Capilouto, Coach Joker Phillips, Coach John Calipari or the Wildcat? UK’s Student Government wants to make that dream come true – kind of.

During K Week, SGA is hosting a “Campus Celebrities Cut Out Challenge” with life-size cut outs of some of your favorite Wildcats. Each day, SGA will post on their Facebook wall and tweet out different locations where they are posted. Students are encouraged to go and snap their pictures with famous face (or faces) of the day.

“We thought this would be a really fun way to get students out and about on campus,” Micah Fielden, student body president, said. “Our team will be out for the first part of K Week with the cut outs, meeting and talking to students and showing them around campus. Participating in the photo challenge can even win a student some cool prizes – what could be better than that?”

During K Week, these cutouts will be located all over campus – find them, take a pic and upload them to Facebook and have a chance to win awesome prizes. It’s so easy.

  1. Like UK Student Government on Facebook (www.facebook.com/uksga).
  2. Follow on Twitter (twitter.com/uksga) @UKSGA for daily updates on the cutout locations.
  3. Find the cutouts, take your picture with them and upload to your Facebook page.
  4. Tag UK Student Government in your picture. (Maximum of one entry per student, per day.)
  5. On Friday, Aug. 26, SGA will select students at random to win cool prizes! Winners’ names will be posted on the SGA Facebook page.

To be eligible, your picture must be posted and UK SGA tagged by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 25.
