Join the Rally for Higher Education
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 6, 2012) – UK students are headed to Frankfort to support higher education as part of the UK Student Government and the Board of Student Body Presidents' Kentucky Rally for Higher Education. This event is in response to proposed budget cuts for secondary education. If you are interested in supporting more funding for public universities in the Commonwealth, this is your opportunity to help!
Rally for Higher Education
When: 11 a.m.–2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7
Where: Frankfort, Ky.
Transportation: Buses leave from the Main Building
All students are welcome to attend and will be provided with lunch, a rally shirt and a letter of explanation from the Provost for attending this UK-sponsored trip. During the bus ride, students will be briefed on some of the major issues that higher education is facing so that they are well informed of the reasons of this trip.
