LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 4, 2017) — Student Activities Board (SAB) brings more than 60 entertaining, educational and enriching programs that are reflective of contemporary issues and trends to the University of Kentucky annually. Each week, they offer exciting programs and events designed to enhance the college experience for students, faculty, staff and the greater Lexington community. See all SAB has in store for this week!

"#TrendingTopics: Unabbreviated Activism"

8-10 p.m., April 5, Memorial Hall

Join SAB, UK Student Government Association and the Office of LGBTQ* Resources for #TrendingTopics as we bring Michael Sam and Payton Head to campus for a conversation about discrimination and social injustice in the LGBTQ and African-American communities as part of Pride Week. Students will be able to hear from these notable speakers followed with a Q&A session. So, bring your questions and an open mind as the university engages in an educational conversation on some controversial topics.

Native American Heritage Festival

6-8 p.m., April 6, Bowman’s Den Walkway

Join SAB to honor and celebrate the culture of Native Americans, while enjoying traditional food, arts and crafts, and the talents of fancy shawl dancers. There will even be an authentic teepee. This is SAB's first time creating a space to celebrate the Native American culture on campus. This is an event not to be missed, so make sure to mark April 6 on the calendar!
