LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 13, 2023) — In the coming weeks, the University of Kentucky will be welcoming more than 300 employers to the 2023 fall semester HireBlue Career Fairs happening on Sept. 19 and 20 in the Gatton Student Center Grand Ballrooms. The events will give students an opportunity to connect with a wide variety of employers who will be here to meet them in person.

Career fairs offer amazing opportunities to explore different career options as well as expand their networking connections. Students of all academic years and majors are encouraged to attend. Many employers also have internship and co-op positions in addition to full-time positions.

Students attending a career fair for the first time are encouraged to sign up for a Career Fair Tour. Students can sign up for a Career Fair Tour through Handshake under the “Events” tab.

While students are not required to register for this event in advance, they are encouraged to wear business-professional attire and to bring multiple copies of their résumés or curricula vitae (CVs). Attendees can also view and prioritize which employers they would like to speak with by downloading the Career Fair Plus app before the day of the career fair. The Career Fair Plus app is available through Apple and Android app stores.

The HireBlue fall semester career fairs are a partnership between the Stanley and Karen Pigman College of Engineering Career and Co-op Office, the Graham Career Management Office in the Gatton College of Business and Economics, and the Stuckert Career Center.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.

In 2022, UK was ranked by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for New Grads” and named a “Diversity Champion” by INSIGHT into Diversity, a testament to our commitment to advance Kentucky and create a community of belonging for everyone. While our mission looks different in many ways than it did in 1865, the vision of service to our Commonwealth and the world remains the same. We are the University for Kentucky.
