Your end-of-semester checklist
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 29, 2024) — The semester is coming to a close, and summer break is almost here!
Get a jump start on your summer with this helpful checklist:
- Register for classes . Both Summer and Fall 2024 UK classes are available. Register now to ensure you get the classes you need or want.
- File your FAFSA. There’s still time to apply! All students, first-year and beyond, should fill out the FAFSA each year. Returning students can expect to receive their Financial Aid notification in June.
- Apply for your summer parking permit. Parking permits will be available for students on campus this summer beginning Monday, May 6.
- Make a Move-Out Appointment for your residence hall. A Move-Out Appointment is a designated 30-minute window of time for you to arrive at the loading area of your residence hall during spring move-out. All students MUST select an appointment in myUK. Click here for UK Housing’s move-out guide.
- Use up your remaining Meal Swipes and Flex Dollars. All unused spring plan Meal Swipes and Flex Dollars expire on Friday, May 3 and do not roll-over to future semesters. Review UK Dining’s Meal Plan FAQ.
- Select a Fall 2024 dining plan or add Flex Dollars to your account. Convenient Flex plans are also available for all students during the Summer 2024 session. Learn more here.
A number of student resources housed in the Office for Student Success will remain available over the summer including:
- Campus Recreation and Wellness. If you have a student membership, you can enjoy the benefits of Campus Recreation and Wellness all summer long. Be sure to check for adjusted hours.
- Integrated Success Coaching . Offered through Transformative Learning, Integrated Success Coaching will be operating over the summer. Appointments will be available from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
- The Stuckert Career Center. Their summer operating hours are 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Additionally, you can sign up for an in-person or virtual appointment, just book them via Handshake.
Additionally, several on-campus resources will be open during the summer including:
- UK Dining. Many dining locations will have adjusted hours. A list of locations and hours will update daily here.
- UK Libraries. Many libraries will remain open during the break. You can find the list of libraries and their hours here.
