    • Shelby hit his third home run of the season, 15th of his career, in the bottom of the third inning.
    • The Shelby family has combined to hit 49 home runs for Kentucky baseball.
  • Sophomore first baseman Evan White has reached base safely in 56 of his 62 career starts.
    • White went 2-3 at the plate.
    • White had his first sac fly this season, fifth of his career, in the bottom of the third inning after driving in Zach Arnold. 
    • White added to his RBI total with a single up the middle, scoring two more in the bottom of the fifth inning.
    • The RBI total of three is the second most this season.
    • White now has 12 RBI on the season, 40 for his career.
    • White also had a career-high two stolen bases.
    • Sunday’s outing was White’s fourth multi-hit game of the season and 24th of his career.
    • White picked up his third multi-RBI game of the season, adding to his career total of eight.
  • Junior centerfielder Storm Wilson has reached base safely in 71 of his 81 career starts.
    • Wilson picked up his third RBI of the season in the bottom of the third, driving in Marcus Carson from third.
    • Wilson has been hit by a pitch 31 times in his career, moving him closer to Thomas Bernal’s record of 38.
    • Wilson stole two bases, which is a new season individual single-game high.
  • Junior DH Gunnar McNeill has reached base safely in 18 of his 24 career starts.
    • McNeill doubles down the right field line for his team leading 15th hit, picking up two RBI.
    • McNeill later scored from second base on a single from Zack Reks to tie up the ballgame in the bottom of the fifth inning.
    • McNeill now has 9 RBI on the season.
    • Sunday’s outing was McNeill’s third multi-RBI game of the season and was only one RBI shy of tying his single game high.
  • Senior right-hander Kyle Cody made his 50th career appearance, starting his 31st game.
  • Junior Logan Salow came on in relief in the top of the third inning.
    • Salow has inherited 52 runners on base; only 13 of those have scored.
    • Salow had a career high nine strikeouts, striking out the side in the top of the fifth inning.                           
  • Senior catcher Zach Arnold went 3-5 at the plate, picking up a walk off hit single through the left infield in the bottom of the tenth inning.
    • Arnold singled down the right field line, advanced to second base on the throw and eventually scored off a sac fly from White for his second scored run of the season.
    • Arnold picked up his first multi-hit game of the season, his eighth of his career.
    • Arnold tied his career high in hits.
    • Arnold was one shy of the individual single-game putout total with 13.
  • Freshman right-hander Justin Lewis picked up his first career win after taking the mound in the top of the seventh inning.
    • Lewis has new career highs with 3.1 innings pitched and three strikeouts.
    • Lewis fielded two line drives that were hit back at the mound, both for outs.
    • Lewis ties his career high pitch count of 42, with 25 of those being strikes.
  • Sophomore infielder Luke Becker scored from second off a single from Arnold to give the Wildcats the 9-8 win.
    • The game-winning run was Becker’s eighth on the season.
