• Freshman right-hander Justin Lewis picked up his first career win after taking the mound in the top of the seventh inning.
• Lewis has new career highs with 3.1 innings pitched and three strikeouts.
• Lewis fielded two line drives that were hit back at the mound, both for outs.
• Lewis ties his career high pitch count of 42, with 25 of those being strikes.
• Sophomore infielder Luke Becker scored from second off a single from Arnold to give the Wildcats the 9-8 win.
• The game-winning run was Becker’s eighth on the season.
