Come Do Some Speed Networking, 'Wildcat to Wildcat'

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 6, 2011) — The University of Kentucky Alumni Association will host a "Wildcat to Wildcat" Speed Networking event from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, at the Barrel House in Lexington. 

 

Speed networking is ideal for anyone looking to meet fellow UK alumni, to make business or personal contacts, or to find professional opportunities. Even if the thought of meeting and mingling with strangers intimidates you, this structured networking event puts both social pros and novices on an even playing field.

 

UK alumni career counselors will help you learn effective networking skills and how to develop your own "30-second commercial." Then, you will have an opportunity to put your skills to the test as you speed through moderated networking sessions.
