RSVPs Due July 18 for Wildcat Kickoff Luncheon

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 16, 2018) — The Greater Louisville University of Kentucky Alumni Club, in corporate partnership with Central Bank, will host the 2018 Wildcat Kickoff Luncheon, presented by Welch Printing, on Wednesday, July 25, at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, located at 280 W. Jefferson St.

Wildcats Head Coach Mark Stoops, Defensive Coordinator Matt House and Offensive Coordinator Eddie Gran will share their thoughts on the upcoming season.

Doors open 11:30 a.m., and the program and lunch begin at noon. Tickets are $55 plus tax for UK Alumni Association members and $60 plus tax for nonmembers. Ticket price includes admission to the event and lunch. Effective July 1, 2018, Kentucky enacted a new tax law requiring collection of 6 percent sales tax on admissions/entry fees for events.

Tables of 10 are available for $550 each. Joint sponsorship for the club’s football Wildcat Kickoff Luncheon and basketball Wildcat Tipoff Luncheon are available for $1,750, which includes a table for 10 at each event. To sign up for the joint events or for more information, email

RSVPs are due by July 18. Reservations can be made at or by calling 800-269-ALUM (2586). Tickets purchased after July 15 will not be mailed, but left at “will call.”

Also at the event, attendees can bring their clean, gently worn professional clothing and donate it to Wildcat Wardrobe, a program from the UK Student Government Association and the James W. Stuckert Career Center aimed at alleviating the financial burden placed on students to purchase professional clothing for job interviews, internships and even full-time job opportunities after graduation.
