LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 6, 2026) — The fourth annual “United We Shop” vendor fair is quickly approaching, and students in the Department of Integrated Strategic Communication (ISC) within the College of Communication and Information at the University of Kentucky are preparing for what they expect to be the event’s biggest year yet. The fair is presented in partnership with United Events in Georgetown, Kentucky.

“United We Shop” is 9 a.m- 2 p.m. Saturday, April 11, at United Events, 101 Kaden Lane in Georgetown. Attendees can look forward to a lively environment featuring local vendors, great food and opportunities to connect with the community. This year’s event will showcase nearly 50 small businesses from across Kentucky, the largest anticipated number of vendors the fair has hosted so far.

Guests will be able to browse a wide variety of locally made products while enjoying gourmet burgers, fresh-cut fries and wings from an on-site food truck. Seating will be available for those who want to relax and enjoy their meals, and ample parking will be provided at the venue.

Organizers say the event is designed to attract a diverse crowd, with vendors offering everything from handmade art and jewelry to baked goods and specialty items. Beyond shopping, the fair aims to support small businesses and foster stronger connections within the local community.

The vendor fair has been a beneficial, real life exercise for students in the ISC event planning course.

“Watching ‘United We Shop’ come together after months of planning has been incredibly rewarding,” said student Ellisyn Brower.

Student Emory Kellogg said working with the vendors had been an eye-opening experience.

“This experience has helped me grow professionally, and working alongside our vendors has shown me just how much creativity and dedication small businesses bring to Kentucky,” said student Emory Kellogg. “I’m excited for the community to come out, shop local and enjoy the day with us.”

Brian Harris of United Events said the collaboration with UK event planning students has been a boon to the vendor fair’s success.

“We’re proud to host ‘United We Shop’ again in Central Kentucky, bringing together dozens of small businesses, great food and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere,” said Brian Harris of United Events. “The ISC students have done an outstanding job securing vendors from across the region, and it’s exciting to see entrepreneurs from Georgetown, Lexington, Richmond, Nicholasville and surrounding communities unite to celebrate and support local businesses. We look forward to welcoming everyone on April 11.”

“United We Shop” is free and open to the public.
