Stuckert Career Center Wants to See Your 'Blue Work Flow' in Photo Contest

LEXINGTON, Ky. (June 16, 2015) The University of Kentucky James W. Stuckert Career Center (SCC) wants to see the UK family at work through their "Blue Work Flow" photo contest. Contestants are asked to capture original in-action shots of UK students, alumni, faculty or staff in their workplace to give students a glimpse into their careers.

"I am most excited to see alumni submissions," Stuckert Center Assistant Director for Marketing Seth Riker said. "Just consider how many 20-year-old Kentucky students think they should have it all figured out. For them to see where UK alumni work and hear how they got there, it's a powerful thing. We should do more to help current UK students learn about the twists and turns of alumni career paths."

To be eligible, submissions must include at least one UK student, alumnus, faculty or staff member in their place of work along with something that relates to UK (a shirt, hat, sticker, poster, etc.). The photo must be a minimum of 1500 x 2000 pixels or 1 megabyte in size. The final deadline to submit images is Friday, July 24.

Weekly winners will be selected by the SCC staff up until the final deadline. Those winners will receive a Stuckert Career Center pad folio. Once all entries have been received, the photos will be uploaded to the Stuckert Career Center Facebook page where the overall winners will be announced on Monday, Aug. 3. Three overall winners will receive an espresso maker as their prize in the following categories: best alumni photo, people’s choice (most likes only on Facebook), and best in-action photo.
