UK Global Health Alliance Hosts Silent Art Auction to Benefit Shoulder to Shoulder Global

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 17, 2018) The University of Kentucky Global Health Alliance will host the 14th annual Silent Art Auction Monday, April 23, at the Biomedical Science Research Building.

The Silent Art Auction will be held in the atrium of the Biomedical Science Research Building from 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The auction will feature art, jewelry and crafts created by local and international artists. Proceeds will benefit UK’s Shoulder to Shoulder Global (STSG) to help improve wellness and education in Santo Domingo, Ecuador, and other locations around the world. The auction is free to all students, faculty, staff and community. Bidding is open until midnight May 7.

Shoulder to Shoulder Global, founded in 2007, is a UK organization that incorporates other academic and community partners and seeks to improve health and well-being of impoverished and underserved communities worldwide. Proceeds will help alleviate costs of supplies and clinic operations as well as provide primary health care services.
