UK Stuckert Career Center to host info sessions on Disney education programs
LEXINGTON, Ky. (March 15, 2024) — Are you interested in one of Disney’s experiential education programs (Disney College Program, Culinary Program or Professional Internships)? The University of Kentucky Stuckert Career Center, housed in the Office for Student Success, is excited to announce they will host information sessions with Vicky Rochelle, Disney College program recruiter, on March 26, 2024. Rochelle will review the Disney experiential education programs and answer questions.
According to the Disney programs website, participants of Disney’s experiential programs can earn academic credit from a U.S. host college or university. Participants can gain a competitive edge on their resume through the combination of academic and career training. Participants work in front line, guest-facing roles throughout Disney parks and resorts. These roles may include attractions, quick-service food and beverage, merchandise, lifeguard and many more.
Students also gain real world work experience with a world-renowned entertainment company, learn skills from Disney leaders, meet people from around the world and take part in a life-changing experience.
Information sessions will be open to UK students and students outside of the university. UK students are to register for the information sessions in Handshake.

As the state’s flagship, land-grant institution, the University of Kentucky exists to advance the Commonwealth. We do that by preparing the next generation of leaders — placing students at the heart of everything we do — and transforming the lives of Kentuckians through education, research and creative work, service and health care. We pride ourselves on being a catalyst for breakthroughs and a force for healing, a place where ingenuity unfolds. It's all made possible by our people — visionaries, disruptors and pioneers — who make up 200 academic programs, a $476.5 million research and development enterprise and a world-class medical center, all on one campus.
In 2022, UK was ranked by Forbes as one of the “Best Employers for New Grads” and named a “Diversity Champion” by INSIGHT into Diversity, a testament to our commitment to advance Kentucky and create a community of belonging for everyone. While our mission looks different in many ways than it did in 1865, the vision of service to our Commonwealth and the world remains the same. We are the University for Kentucky.
