Concussion Info for Young Athletes and Parents

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 27, 2011) — From football to soccer, baseball to softball, and basketball to cheerleading, concussions are a hazard of many popular school sports.

With the beginning of the school year just around the corner, parents, student athletes and others are invited to an informative town hall-style session on "Concussion Care in Youth Sports."

Neuropsychologist Dan Han and physical therapist and certified athletic trainer Scott Livingston will present information about concussion management and care, and will be available to answer questions.

The Concussion Care meeting will take place at 7 p.m. Aug. 9, in the auditorium of Henry Clay High School, 2100 Fontaine Rd., Lexington.
