Forecast: Blizzards bring sweet impact for kids on Miracle Treat Day

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 17, 2026) — On July 30, participating Dairy Queen locations across Kentucky will come together to raise funds for Golisano Children’s at UK, part of the Children’s Miracle Network. One dollar or more from every Blizzard treat sold at these locations will stay local to support patients at UK Golisano Children’s. 

“When our community shows up for kids, the impact is truly powerful,” said Hayden Hughes, associate director of philanthropic partnerships for UK Golisano Children’s. “Miracle Treat Day is a sweet way our friends at Dairy Queen and Children’s Miracle Network help us change lives right here in Kentucky.” 

Nationwide, Miracle Treat Day has raised more than $1 million for Children’s Miracle Network. Out of 4,000 participating locations across the country, Kentucky is home to several of the top‑fundraising Dairy Queen stores, raising more than $90,000 for UK Golisano Children’s through philanthropic campaigns.
