Markey Hosting Second Annual Wreath Auction Benefiting Expressions of Courage

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 18, 2016) - The University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center is seeking participants to create homemade wreaths for its annual online wreath auction benefiting the 2017 Expressions of Courage Survivor Celebration.

Wreaths will be displayed in the lobby of the Combs Center Research Building Dec. 5-8. During this time, the online auction will be live and will stay open through midnight on Dec. 8. Bids for the wreaths will be in increments of $5 with an opening bid of $25.

Each wreath will be judged on a number of different categories including Most Creative, Jolliest, Strongest Kentucky Theme and more. Winners from each category will be given a prize. Winners of wreaths will be announced Dec. 9. via email and on the auction website.

The deadline to commit to submitting a wreath is Monday, Nov. 21. Interested participants will need to fill out an online submission form. The due date to bring in your wreath is Wednesday, Nov. 30. For more information on the auction, contact Valeria Moore at (859) 257-3327.
