UK HealthCare Teams with Lexington Legends

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 29, 2010) − UK HealthCare is teaming up with the Lexington Legends for the third year to provide baby changing stations at Applebee's Park for the 2010 baseball season. The UK HealthCare-Lexington Legends matchup also includes a promotion known as "Lexington's Little Legend." This year's participant is Hudson Dean Evans, born at UK Chandler Hospital on the Legends' opening day, April 16.

Baby Hudson came into the world weighing 8-pounds, 6-ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long. Hudson and his parents, Dean and Whitney Evans of Lexington, will be formally introduced in person at an upcoming game at which time they will be presented with gifts from the Legends organization which will include a lifetime membership to the Jiff Kid's Club. The Legends will also feature pictures of Hudson on their JumboTron as he grows throughout the season.

"The UK Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology's Little Legend promotion is a perfect example of the creativity and community support we provide with our partners," said Andy Shea, general manager for the Legends organization. "It will be fun watching Hudson grow up through this partnership. This has truly turned into a very fun and innovative way to connect UK HealthCare, the Legends and our fans."

The UK OB/GYN department's partnership with the Lexington Legends is part of an effort to get the message out about the services the department provides.
