Weather Alters State of the University Address
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 16, 2010) – Due to impending inclement weather, today’s State of the University Address will be delivered to the campus and community via live-streaming on UKNow, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
University of Kentucky President Lee T. Todd Jr. and Student Government President Ryan M. Smith will deliver the address from the Lexmark Room located in UK’s Main Building. Members of the University of Kentucky community are invited to watch the address online at UKNow at 11:30 a.m. At 11 a.m., free lunch will be served from the covered areas of White Hall Classroom Building.
The scheduled student organization fair is canceled.
In his final State of the University Address, Todd will highlight the innovative spirit of our campus community. “Innovation is bubbling up from every corner of our campus,” said Todd. “Our students, faculty, and staff continue to stare adversity in the face and, instead of whining, they are trying to find creative solutions to help us through these tough times.”
NBC sports broadcaster and UK alumnus Tom Hammond will serve as emcee.
