'MyUK' App Offers Easy Access to Important Information

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 9, 2013) — Students, faculty and staff at the University of Kentucky have an updated option for managing their UK information.

The myUK mobile app, released in early August, offers quick access so users can review the course catalog, find campus buildings and make tuition payments. Initially a feature in the UKMobile app, myUK became a stand-alone app after extensive feedback. The linkblue-accessible content moved to the myUK mobile app and a new “remember me” feature was added to create a better log-in experience. Linkblue users of the myUK mobile app can log in, choose "remember me," and view various information. When users return to the app, logging in is not required.

Features include:

  • Plus Account: View balances and transactions and locations where the plus account is accepted.
  • Class Information: Browse current and past semester classes and view midterm and final grades.
  • Course Catalog: Browse past and upcoming course catalog offerings by area of study.
  • Course Registration
  • Detailed Interactive Campus Map: Quick links to popular locations on campus, including parking, dining, computing labs, and more.
  • Account Payments: Make tuition payments and view past transactions.
  • Enhanced Student, Faculty and Staff Directory: Search for students, faculty, and staff and get email and phone number information for quick connections.
  • Events: A listing of campus events from UKNow.
  • And more … with new features in the works.

The myUK mobile app has received positive feedback since being released and has more than 12,000 users. It is available for both iOS and Android and can be downloaded from http://www.uky.edu/apps on your mobile device.

The UKMobile app is still available and provides valuable information for students, university employees, parents, alumni, Wildcats fans and the general public. It is also available for iOS and Android users.
