Parking and Transportation Services’ Office Hours Changing Jan. 2

LEXINGTON, Ky.  (Dec. 21, 2012) ― Beginning Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, the Parking and Transportation Services main office location in Parking Structure #6 (at the corner of Press and Virginia Avenues) will have new hours. Changes include reducing late-night office hours and eliminating Sunday office hours.

The new hours of operation will be Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The office was previously open until 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

The changes are designed to respond to the changing needs of the campus community. With vehicle towing down over 90 percent over the past two years, the Parking Structure #6 office has experienced a significant reduction in late night office traffic.  Additionally, more members of the campus community are taking advantage of PTS’s online services, including permit renewals, citation payment and appeals, which are available any time day or night at www.uky.edu/pts.

While the weekday office hours previously extended until 9 p.m., permit sales ended at 6 p.m. With the policy change, the new office hours will include full service during all weekday hours of operation.
