Parking on University Drive to be Affected by Repaving Project

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 24, 2019) — Contractors are expected to begin a repaving project on the University of Kentucky campus at University Drive midweek this week, weather permitting. During the life of the project, a portion of parking on University Drive will be unavailable.

Street parking on both sides of University from the intersection of University Drive and Cooper Drive to the first Red Lot entrance at Kroger Field will be unavailable for the duration of the project.

After the University Drive repaving project is complete, repaving work is expected to begin near the corner of Sports Center Drive and College Way to rebuild pavement in this area. 

Commuters should exercise caution while traveling in these areas as construction work is underway.
