Waite at Comedy Caravan

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 8, 2010) – Joe Zimmerman will not be making his debut in Wildcat Country just yet. Zimmerman will not perform at the Cats Den’s Comedy Caravan this week due to a scheduling conflict. However, comedy lovers do not fear, because the Comedy Caravan will still generate laughs at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, with the hilarious Dave Waite.

A graduate of Northern Kentucky University, Dave Waite is a homegrown success. College might have been tough for Waite and the few years after that followed might not have provided any hope, but in 2004 Waite found his salvation in the form of a newspaper ad. The ad was for a stand up comedy class at the Funny Bone in Newport, Ky. Ever since the class he has gained the reputation of being one of the Midwest’s wittiest and most unpredictable young comics.

With his reputation growing Waite has performed at comedy festivals around the country and even made his television debut on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” in 2009. Using his personal life experiences, his show is sure to ring a bell with many college students.

The Cat’s Den is located on the first floor of the UK’s Student Center. All of the events hosted by the Cats Den are free of charge to students, staff, and faculty.
