Work on Campus Parking Structures Under Way

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 23, 2012) ― Beginning today, routine preventive maintenance work will start on most campus parking structures. The work will require blocking of a varying number of parking spaces in areas of structures throughout the project. The maintenance will begin at Parking Structure #2 (located on Rose Street, with the entrance on Hilltop Avenue), with Parking Structure #7 (located on Sports Center Drive) to follow shortly afterwards. The entrances and exits to the garage will remain open during the project.

Employees who normally park in the garage should allow extra time in arriving to work. Visit www.uky.edu/pts/parking-info_parking-maps to view the campus parking map and identify alternate parking locations.

The project is expected to last three months. However, as always, construction is weather-dependent and the timetable may change.

Members of the campus community are encouraged to tune into 1700 AM (WQKH 253) to hear campus parking and transportation information. The station broadcasts 24 hours, seven days a week.
