WUKY to Broadcast Special Presidential Primary Election Coverage

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 26, 2011) — WUKY will broadcast special primary election coverage for the presidential election of 2012.  WUKY will air NPR’s live special coverage of the Iowa Caucus from 9-11 p.m. EST Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012. The Iowa caucus coverage will be hosted by Robert Siegel.  Live coverage of the New Hampshire Primary from 9-11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, will also air.  Melissa Block will anchor the New Hampshire Primary special. This programming will air on 91.3 FM and will be streamed over the Internet at www.wuky.org.

Coverage will feature candidate speeches, newsmaker interviews, and expert analysis from NPR contributors E.J. Dionne (The Washington Post) and Matthew Continetti (The Weekly Standard), along with polling insights from The Pew Center’s Andrew Kohut.  Listeners will also hear from NPR’s Mara Liasson, Don Gonyea, Ari Shapiro, Ron Elving, and various NPR reporters at candidate headquarters in each state.
