Al Cross to Discuss Presidential Campaign with Louisville Alumni

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 27, 2016)  With the presidential election just days away, the Greater Louisville University of Kentucky Alumni Club presents a special evening with one of Kentucky’s premier journalists, Al Cross.

Well known as the chief political writer of the Louisville Courier-Journal for more than 15 years and currently associate extension professor at the UK College of Communication and Information, Cross will discuss current views on the upcoming election and take questions regarding one of the most important presidential elections in decades.

Doors open for the event at 5 p.m. with the event beginning 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Central Bank – Hurstbourne Place on Shelbyville Road, in Louisville.

Cross is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, a member of the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame and a frequent guest on KET’s “Comment on Kentucky.” He has appeared on “Washington Week in Review” and served as national president of the Society of Professional Journalists. He is currently director of the Institute of Rural Journalism and Community Issues headquartered at the UK School of Journalism and Media.
