Boone Center Grill Is Open for Business
LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 5, 2016) — Attention, all University of Kentucky patio diners: the Hilary J. Boone Center Grill is now open for the 2016 season of good food and warm sunshine.
The grill is located on the Boone Center’s exterior south terrace, next to the Mining and Minerals Building and facing William T. Young Library. The Boone Center is located on campus at the corner of Rose Street and Columbia Avenue.
Diners can either partake on the terrace, or pick up a to-go order between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday now and throughout the summer.
Students and non-members are welcome.
“Offering chef-driven cuisine, we feature a local beef burger and meats that are free of antibiotics, GMOs and nitrates/nitrites,” said Holly Clark, membership sales and marketing director of the Boone Center and the Club at Spindletop Hall.
The grill’s menu includes the Boone Center burger, a grilled local vegetable wrap, crispy fish tacos, fried green tomato BLT, baby kale and quinoa salad.
Delicious samples are featured at a season-opening celebration for the Boone Center Grill 4:30-7:30 p.m., April 11-15.
The Hilary J. Boone Center and the Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall are offering great savings for new faculty and staff members now through April 30, during their annual spring promotion. New faculty and staff members pay only 25 percent of the initiation fee to join Spindletop or only half of the enrollment fee to join the Boone Center, $50. New members may also receive an account credit for successful referrals.
