Published: Oct 27, 2011

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct. 27, 2011) — All members of the Central Kentucky community are invited to the National Commemorative Candle Lighting for Alzheimer's Disease, to be held Sunday, Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. at the University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown Center on Aging.

The candle lighting is an initiative of the Alzheimer's Foundation of America. It is a chance to remember those who have been or will be affected by Alzheimer's disease and related illnesses. The ceremony is open to anyone whose life has been touched by Alzheimer's.

Ceremony participants should gather at 5 p.m., Nov. 13, in the front lobby of the Sanders-Brown building at 800 S. Limestone in Lexington. Free parking is available in the Kentucky Clinic parking garage (on Huguelet Drive accessible from South Limestone or Rose Street). This activity is free of charge, and does not require registration.

For more information, contact the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging at (859) 257-8971.
