LEXINGTON, Ky. (Nov. 9, 2012) -- University of Kentucky Human Resources Training and Development is opening its doors to the campus today.

Employees are invited to an open house from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, to learn more about T&D departments and resources. Each mini-workshop will last approximately 15 minutes.

Kicking off the workshop sessions will be Career Development’s Introduction to the True Colors Personality Profile.  Participants can learn about the True Colors Personality System and how to use it in a rewarding career that is filled with self-expression, passion and success.

Employment will then introduce the Hiring Enhancement Program Overview. The guest speaker is Grace Gorrell, an independent training and coaching professional who works with businesses, nonprofits, colleges and high schools in the area of leadership development. She will deliver a presentation on "Leadership Through Difficult Times." 

Ann Bassoni, coordinator for the Work+Life Connections Program will present "What Work Life Can Do For You."

Finally, T&D’s Professional Development unit presents "Our Iceberg Is Melting." In this entertaining session, Senior Training Specialist Marietta Watts uses a fable concerning a colony of penguins facing a melting iceberg to help teams understand how to face and deal with change.
