Published: Feb 21, 2013

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 21, 2013) — If you want to learn more about how to properly value a stock or other investments, or you want to gain insight on understanding markets and market action, there is still time to register for a special seminar being offered this weekend by the University of Kentucky Gatton College of Business and Economics Executive Education Center (EEC).

On Saturday, Feb. 23, the center is hosting a special seminar, Value Investing: The Art of Selecting Stocks and Other Investments, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hilary J. Boone Center on the UK campus.  The featured speaker is John C. Cheshire, vice president and senior equity manager for Community Trust and Investment Company.  Cheshire is a 22-year veteran of the investment industry and is an alumnus of the Gatton College.

The seminar is open to all, with a couple of special discounts being offered.  The fee of $230 per person includes instruction, materials, six hours of continuing education credit, certificate of completion, continental breakfast, lunch, refreshments, and parking.  Registrants can bring a friend for an additional fee of $90. In addition, the EEC is offering a special discount price of $90 for UK faculty, staff, and students.

To register for the investment seminar, visit www.gatton.uky.edu/eec.  The promo code for UK employees and students to register on the website is VIUK2-23-13.  For more information, call (800) 284-6407.
