Law Journal Members Visit Nation's Capital

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 12, 2011) — Six University of Kentucky College of Law students, members of Kentucky Law Journal (KLJ), visited Washington, D.C., in November to attend the William Rehnquist Award Dinner at the Grand Hall of the U.S. Supreme Court, hosted by the National Center for State Courts (NCSC).

Kate Anderson, Stefan Bing, Jane Lyle Hord, Katie Parrott, Joey Wright and Jerrad Howard were invited by Mary McQueen, NCSC president after the success of a KLJ symposium co-sponsored by NCSC in September.

During their four-day visit, the students attended a roundtable discussion on multistate litigation and an award luncheon attended by Justice Elena Kagan, met with Rep. Ben Chandler, and took a behind-the-scenes tour of the Capitol.
