Published: May 20, 2011

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 20, 2011) − Dr. Andrew Wyant,  a faculty member in the Physician Assistant Studies program at the University of Kentucky College of Health Sciences, has been selected to speak at the national conference of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), to be held in Las Vegas from May 30-June 4.

“I am honored for the opportunity to present at the AAPA National Conference and look forward to representing the UK Physician Assistant Studies program in Las Vegas,” Wyant

said.

Wyant will be delivering a presentation titled “Trauma in Pregnancy,” which highlights the challenge of “caring for two patients in one” in the setting of significant traumatic injury to the mother.

A resident of Mt. Sterling, and UK faculty member in the program's extension campus at Morehead State University, Wyant utilizes his extensive clinical experience, which includes 15 years of practice in both obstetrics/gynecology and emergency medicine, to teach students physiology and other courses involving didactic clinical medicine.
