Renowned Christian Author Ravi Zacharias to Speak on UK's Campus

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 22, 2016)  Ravi Zacharias, a renowned Christian author and apologist, is coming to Lexington. Zacharias will be exploring what it looks like to follow God in the modern world during a one-night event which will take place 7 p.m. Wenesday, Feb. 24, at Memorial Coliseum on University of Kentucky's campus.

"College is about learning, growing and wrestling with big ideas," said Christian Student Fellowship Campus Director Brian Marshall. "Christian Student Fellowship (CSF) invited Dr. Ravi Zacharias to the University of Kentucky as a way of contributing to the great learning opportunities and pivotal conversations that happen on campus."

Zacharias has presented thoughtful discussions regarding the Christian worldview to thousands of college students on campuses around the world, including Harvard, Cambridge, West Point, Oxford and more. He has also addressed gatherings such as the Annual Prayer Breakfast at the United Nations in New York, National Prayer Breakfasts around the world and he has given addresses at the White House, the Pentagon and the Cannon House.

"He is known for making complex ideas clear through his powerful storytelling abilities," Marshall said. "Whatever someone's faith background may be, we hope people at UK take advantage of this unique opportunity to hear a world class communicator share his unique perspective on some of life's biggest questions."

Students are not the only ones invited to partake in this captivating event — the entire Lexington community is welcome. Since the event is free and open to the public, no tickets will be distributed and free on-campus parking will be provided.
