Student Publications Photographers to Take Portraits for Employees

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 6, 2012) — For the first time, the Kentuckian Yearbook and Student Publications offers professional thumbnail portraits (head shots) for University of Kentucky faculty and staff. The simple, no-risk photo session is scheduled 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7. Professional photographers  will have a backdrop and lights set up at the UK Bookstore during the Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day. 

The sitting is free .Any proceeds will benefit Student Publications.

Those who take part will receive a link to their photos, with the option to purchase prints or the digital files. This is a great opportunity for people on campus to update their head shots for the numerous professional needs they may have, such as Facebook, Linked In, department websites, professional journals, etc. In fact, department heads may find this a good time to have departmental websites updated with faculty and staff photos produced with consistent backdrop and professional lighting.
