Today is Another WUKY Phoenix Friday in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 15, 2016)  The July edition of WUKY's Phoenix Fridays summer series of free, outdoor concerts takes place today, Friday, July 15, in Phoenix Park in downtown Lexington. Gates open at 5 p.m., music starts at 5:30, and the performers are Warren Byrom and the Fabled Canelands, Star & Micey and 7Horse. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

This is the third in the series created by WUKY and produced by the Downtown Lexington Corporation. Phoenix Fridays take place the third Friday of each month in May through August. Each night features three bands — a combination of local and nationally touring acts.

Tonight's first act, is a Lexington band — Warren Byrom and the Fabled Canelands — performing country-folk and Americana music. They will be followed by Star & Micey, a Memphis-based band known for its alternative country-rock music.  The headliner is West Coast blues duo 7Horse.
