UK Wins 13 CASE Kentucky Awards

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Dec. 20, 2013) ― The University of Kentucky received a total of 13 awards for outstanding work in institutional advancement, alumni relations and communications in the annual competition sponsored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Kentucky. Awards were presented at the organization’s conference held in Lexington Dec. 13.  

 

  • UK received four Grand Awards — for "Career Relaunch: Workshop for Women" in the Special Project, Event or Program category (Alumni Association); for "Kentucky Engineering Journal" in the Editorial Design category (College of Engineering); for the “'see blue. make a difference' series of philanthropy ads" in the Total Advertising Campaign category (Office of Development); and for the "Ways to Give Booklet" in the Writing for Fundraising category (Office of Development).
  • UK won four Awards of Excellence — for "Lunch and Open House at McCracken County High School" in the Special Project, Event or Program category (Alumni Association); for the "Women & Philanthropy Brochure" in the Fundraising Publication category (Office of Development); for the "Women & Philanthropy Brochure" in the Writing for Fundraising category (Office of Development); and for the “'From Where I Sit' Column for a Planned Giving Tabloid" in the Writing for Fundraising category (Office of Development).
  • UK received five Special Merit Awards — for the "Kentucky Engineering Journal" in the Magazine category (College of Engineering); for the “'seeing blue and making a difference' alumni donor feature article" in the Feature Writing category (Office of Development); for the "Benefactor Gift and Estate Planning Tabloid" in the Writing for Fundraising category (Office of Development); for the "Ways to Give Booklet" in the Fundraising Publication category (Office of Development); and for the "Donor Advised Fund Brochure" in the Low Budget Publication category (Office of Development).  

CASE Kentucky is a statewide organization that serves advancement professionals in alumni relations, advancement services, development and communications at more than 70 colleges, universities, private secondary and elementary schools and other educational organizations. CASE Kentucky is also part of CASE District III (which includes educational institutions in the southeastern portion of the United States) and the national CASE organization.
