Statum, The Pass Headline at the Cats Den

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 28, 2011) – What do comedy, music and free popcorn have in common? Here is a hint: you do not have to leave campus to indulge your senses. Give up? They are all free events in the Cats Den.

Prepare to have your funny bone tickled Wednesday, March 2, at 8 p.m. as the hilarious Tim Statum headlines Comedy Caravan. This Alabama native has been keeping audiences wanting more since Statum started his hilarious stand-up career 13 years ago. Since then, Statum has used his southern charm and his fondness of storytelling to craft a fun and truly humorous performance every time.

Come back to the Cats Den at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 3, as another homegrown talent, The Pass, prepares to rock out. The Louisville-based band, The Pass, features the hip musical styling of Will Roberts, Kyle Peters, Brian Healy and Neil Lucas. The awesome foursome has been quickly creating a name for themselves ever since their debut EP "Colors." In September, they released the long-awaited album "Burst."

The Cat’s Den is located on the first floor of the University of Kentucky’s Student Center. All of the events hosted by the Cats Den are free to students, staff and faculty. For more information, contact catsdenuk@gmail.com. These events are sponsored by the Student Center Director’s Office.
