Take advantage of the Fall Semester Career Fair Orientation
LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 11, 2023) — This fall semester, students have the opportunity to participate in a career fair orientation that will help equip them for success at fall career fairs and other campus career development events. If you are a faculty or staff member who is looking to add a career development activity to a course or group, please consider the UK Career Fair Orientation. This event will be hosted from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, at the Gatton Student Center Social Staircase (Atrium).
This inaugural, interactive event will let students familiarize themselves with attending a career fair in a controlled setting before participating in a real fair. Students will have the experience of having their resume reviewed by an employer, writing and practicing their elevator pitch, learning how to search for employers, signing up for a UK HireBlue Career Fair Tour, and much more. Students will also have the chance to win raffle items by engaging within different areas of the orientation and marking off their Career Fair Orientation bingo card.
Whether this is a student’s first career fair or they are an experienced fair veteran, this orientation experience will be beneficial. Students from all academic programs, undergraduate students and graduate students, are encouraged to attend.
Students can register for this event here. Registration is not required but highly encouraged! Questions? Contact hireblue@uky.edu.
