- Learning about student organizations at involvement fairs. These are spaces offered to student organizations to show what they do and how students can get involved. Involvement fairs are a great way of connecting directly with organizations and networking.

- Engaging with a Living Learning program (LLP), for students who are LLP members. As a member of an LLP, a student should stay active in it and participate in all the things the group offers. Go to events and networking opportunities the LLP offers in a particular field of study to connect with experts and faculty.
- Talking to your academic advisor about the variety of ways to engage with people from the same major. All colleges have multiple organizations within the college to enhance professional skills or connect with people who have the same interests in your field. Ask your advisor what opportunities are available to get involved within the college and create a community.
