LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 10, 2026) — The fourth annual “United We Shop” vendor fair is just a few days away. In collaboration with United Talent and United Events, students from the University of Kentucky’s College of Communication and Information Department of Integrated Strategic Communication’s event planning course are preparing for what they expect to be the most successful event yet.

“United We Shop” is 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, at United Talent, 101 Kaden Lane, Georgetown, Kentucky. Guests can look forward to an energetic day filled with shopping, locally made products and great food. This year’s event will break records with 50 small businesses showcasing their goods at “United We Shop.” All the vendors are local to Kentucky and are excited to display their wide range of goods.

Beyond shopping, attendees can enjoy burgers, fries and wings from the fully loaded food truck. Seating will be available so patrons can relax and enjoy a good meal.

Students in the Integrated Strategic Communication event planning course are running the show and will be available to answer any questions.

Event organizers say “United We Shop” offers something for everyone — from handmade art and one-of-a-kind jewelry to delicious treats — while providing a meaningful way to support small businesses and engage with the local community.

“I’m incredibly excited to see ‘United We Shop’ come together after all the effort we’ve put in,” said student Emma Karpowich, vendor relations team captain. “This experience has been so rewarding, and I’ve learned so much about event planning throughout the process. Working closely with our vendors has shown me the passion and creativity they bring to Kentucky and our community.
