LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 23, 2018) --The University of Kentucky Staff Senate created the Chat with the Provost series in 2016. Today, the Staff Senate’s program allows UK's new provost a forum to introduce himself to the campus community.

David Blackwell, took office just two weeks ago, on Jan. 8. Although his colleagues at the Gatton College of Business and Economics know him well as the dean who led their college’s recent $65 million expansion, Blackwell is new to faculty, students and staff in other areas of the university.

As provost, what are Blackwell’s goals and strategies for the future of the university?  He is likely to touch on some of those topics today.

Blackwell will meet with the campus community in the Staff Senate’s informal Chat with the Provost format of dialog and discussion at noon-1 p.m. today in Room U136 of Lewis Hall, the residence hall that houses the Lewis Honors College and living learning community at the corner of University Drive and Hilltop Drive.
