UK Appreciation Day Planned at Spindletop Hall

LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 25, 2010) – Spindletop Hall is throwing open its doors Sunday, June 6, welcoming all University of Kentucky faculty and staff to UK Appreciation Day at Spindletop Hall.

All you have to do to become a "Member for a Day" is visit www.spindletophall.org and click on the UK Appreciation Day link.

The historic mansion and adjoining acres that make up the UK faculty, staff and alumni club was chartered in 1962 to serve the UK community. The facility features swimming, tennis, volleyball, chipping and putting, basketball, picnic areas and a 2.5-mile walking/jogging trail.  Visitors often play Frisbee on acres of lush bluegrass or relax under the ancient oaks that dot the landscape.

Club amenities include:
