Career Development Office Offers Workshop Series

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Sept. 16, 2009) – To accentuate work-life goals, the University of Kentucky Human Resources' new Career Development (CD) Office has created a series of free workshops for UK faculty and staff.

The new Career Development Office also offers career assessment services and Web-based resources to help with resume development, interview mastery and career planning. Employees may also schedule one-on-one consultations.

The Career Development workshops, scheduled now through Nov. 16, include a wide range of topics, from "Creating the Optimal Resume" to "Interview Mastery," from "Keys to Job Enrichment" to "Initiating Career Conversations with Your Supervisor."

The upcoming workshop titles and dates are New Rules for Career Success, Sept. 18; Love It, Don't Leave It: Keys to Job Enrichment, Oct. 9;, K.I.S.S. - Keep It Simple Strategies for Your UK Job Search, Oct. 23; Interview Mastery, Oct. 29; Initiating Career Conversations with Your Supervisor, Nov. 3; Initiating Career Conversations with Your Employees, Nov. 12; and Creating Your Optimal Resume, Nov. 16.

All workshops take place from noon to 12:45 p.m. in room 220, Suite 2, Scovell Hall. The days of the week vary, so carefully check the online calendar when considering attendance.
