State of the University: Faculty's Perspective

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 8, 2011) -- The University Senate, the university-level representative body for faculty, will hold its regular meeting on Monday, April 11, at 3 p.m. in the W.T. Young Library Auditorium.  There will be two featured, inaugural presentations that may be of interest to faculty across campus.

The first presentation, “State of the University: The Faculty’s Perspective,” will be based upon campus-wide input from faculty and members of Senate committees. This presentation will be delivered by the Senate Council Chair, Professor Hollie I. Swanson (Medicine/Molecular and Biomedical Pharmacology).

The chair’s report will be followed by comments from Britt Brockman, chair of the UK Board of Trustees. Brockman’s presentation is titled, “The Presidential Search.” There will be time for Q&A after both presentations.

The meeting is open to the public, and faculty members are welcome to attend.
